If you're letting a property for the first time, we also conduct a free property inspection. The inspection covers all the legal requirements - we'll let you know what's required to improve things. There are 'around 150 laws' that apply to landlords in the UK (Rightmove). The laws cover anything from the condition of the property, deposits, safety and 'right to rent checks'.
For Houses in Multiple Occupancy (HMOs), there is also other legislation to adhere to. We'll make sure you meet the latest legal standards. Meeting these standards also means you are protected, legally speaking, and provides the best standards to attract the best tenants.

Tenant fee ban - April 2018
'A "draft bill" will be published "later this year" which will abolish lettings fees being charged to tenants. If this becomes law, the majority of Exeter's letting agents will likely pass on these costs to landlords. We're making an early commitment to keep our prices the same.
